Boston Massacre As A Signal Event Leading To The Revolutionary War

The events that led the thirteen colonies from a newly independent country to a transcontinental nation were a beautiful thing for the free colonies that got be one and their actual colony and not tied under a leader. These countries got to have their own government, their laws, and own rights. This is called a free colony, a free land, and these colonies achieved it. These colonies went through so many things to pay unfair taxes not being able to vote, discrimination, and just watched the colonies like hawks, which led to the Boston Massacre, the led to the Revolutionary war. This led to the separation they didn’t want to hold on a leash their whole life. they finally got tired of it. The United States of America became so much more and stronger as its own country after it was separated from Great Britain. This is the way the United States became it’s own.

The American colonists were being discriminated against because they were under the control of the king of Great Britain at the time, they had unfair tax pays. This led to a big problem because it just made the American colonist that much more angry. The American people had to pay an unfair amount of taxes to the king of Great Britain, it made the colonists very angry. “Much happened between the years 1763 and 1776. The colonists felt unfairly taxed, watched over like children.” The colonists were starting to see these things flourish into something much more intense than what they had already going on with just unfair tax paying. “For their part, found the colonists unwilling to pay their fair share for the administration of the Empire. War broke out between the two, the colonist and Great Britain and it was called the Boston Massacre. This war or battle was just a blood bath, this was the only revolt that the colonist had against Great Britain, the Boston Massacre led the colonist to revolt. “The Boston Massacre was a signal event leading to the Revolutionary War. It led directly to the Royal Governor evacuating the occupying army from the town of Boston.” This battle was the tension build of the two colonists and Great Britain, and they just came in and started havoc with the colonist. ‘The Boston Massacre was the killing of five colonists by regulars on March 5, 1770. It was the culmination of tensions in the American colonies that had been growing since Royal troops first appeared in Massachusetts in October 1768 to enforce the heavy tax burden imposed by the Townshend Acts.’ They killed multiple colonists, and this also created more of hate for the colonist that grew towards Great Britain. This war led to a revolt against Great Britain and this was a huge part of the separation of the United States form Great Britain.

The Revolutionary war was the key to freedom of the colonist and if they lost this war they lost any chance of being free. This war was called the American War of Independence. This was the build of all the hatred and anger and wanting to be free, and to have their colony their own country and not always feel as if they were on a leash. The revolutionary war was the great tensions Great Britain had with the colonist, but in all honestly Great Britain was taking advantage of them and it was not right. “The conflict arose from growing tensions between residents of Great Britain’s 13 North American colonies and the colonial government, which represented crown. Skirmishes between troops and colonial militiamen in Lexington and Concord in April 1775 kicked off the armed conflict, and by the following summer, the rebels were waging a full-scale war for their independence. France entered the American Revolution on the side of the colonists in 1778, turning what had essentially been a civil war into an international conflict.” The battle that was fought was called the battle of Bunker hill. The did win this war with casualties, but it made the colonist want to fight harder and it made them keep the faith that they will win the war, even with a loss they would win. Finally, in 1781 the last battle was and it is known to be the most important battle of the Revolutionary War. Once the colonists won this, the war was over and they got their freedom.

The American colonist fought for what they wanted, for what they believed in, and they wouldn’t stop. They were treated like dogs, they were on a leash for so long, it was the time they broke free from it and they did, indeed they did. They fought for their freedom from the beginning they may have lost many family, friends and so on but they died with honor, and it was for the freedom of there people, and freedom for the 13 colonies. The freedom of the 13 colonies led to the westward expansion, the Industrial Revolution, and many wars. But the thing that needs to be remembered is that they won their freedom. It is what they were fighting for, and they achieved it.
