The Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, who is more commonly known as Leonardo Da Vinci, was born April 15, 1452, in Anchiano, Italy. Da Vinci was extremely well known for his paintings and his many amazing talents. Da Vinci is known by many people in this world. He was a renaissance man, and his existence has impacted all of our lives and future before we were born. He passed away on May 2, 1519, in the Chapel of Saint-Hubert, In France, of a stroke.

When Leonardo was 5, he moved to his father’s estate, where he lived with his uncle and grandparents. Even at a young age, it was very obvious that he had a passion and talent for art. Since he was an illegitimate child, his childhood was different from most other children’s, for example, he was only able to receive the most basic math, reading, and writing.

Da Vinci was widely known for being an architect, painter, inventor, engineer, and scientist. Da Vinci was mostly known for being an artist, though. He was best known for his art and inventions. His two paintings “Mona Lisa” and “The Last Supper” are some of the world’s most famous paintings. Some of Da Vinci’s most famous inventions are the Aerial Screw and the Ornithopter. Some of the common things we have today, for example, the airplane, may not have even be invented or as advanced without him.

Leonardo was very creative and imaginative. His paintings and designs for inventions in his notebook definitely showed that. Da Vinci was a very curious person, trying new things and inventing using his imagination. Da Vinci was curious about what he could invent and that curiosity helped us create modern things like airplanes. He was extremely brave, an example is when he jumped off a ledge to test out his new invention, the flying machine.

Some important facts about Da Vinci are that he was the secret love child of a lawyer named Ser Piero and a peasant named Caterina. Da Vinci was ambidextrous, meaning he was able to write and paint with both of his hands equally well, which is amazing. He was also a military engineer. He made extremely detailed drawings of helicopters, parachutes, armored tanks, and more. He was surely an interesting child and even more interesting adult.

In 1516, Da Vinci permanently left Italy for France, where he served Francis I in his court in Amboise. He then passed away in 1519, in France at the age of 67 of a stroke. Da Vinci left a huge impression and some things would not be so advanced if it weren’t for him. He was truly an impressive person, and his hard work will be remembered through his paintings shown at museums. A lot of people, including me, will remember how brave and courageous Da Vinci was, and forever thank him for the opportunities he gave the world so it could be so advanced.
