This research paper is secondary research covering sociological inequalities, and more so the inequalities among nations, this research will be part qualitative and part quantitative. This paper will state how Britain has become a common ground for inequality.

Gender inequality is a threatening problem that causes unfair treatment in society between different genders. Whilst people believe that societal inequality (gender, race, background) in Britain is a thing of the past, there is evidence to suggest the contrary. Social inequality has not been dissipated but instead hs One of the greatest challenges of social policy in Britain has been to find ways to minimize the many consequences of social inequality(gender, income gap, social status, etc.), and in many ways has failed to achieve this. (Goldthorpe 2010), points out that social inequality has returned to Britain perhaps for a while. Mr. Goldthorpe argues that social inequality has not been dissipated but instead has taken a different form (political and policy agendas). Social inequalities are on all levels from the schools to society.

Firstly, societal inequalities are still affecting Genders, how certain genders are treated more so the feminine species, in terms of pay and work placement. Many in society believe that inequality amongst genders is inevitable. Much like in an article by (Budgeon, 2013), where it is stated that both genders are interdependent and one of which is bound to surpass the other in the societal hierarchy. We mustn’t be bound by this reality of how some may believe society should be, in a lecture by (Carter 2017), the means by which gender inequality can be tackled is examined, she starts by examining the marginalization women come under in workplaces and schools, the current wage gap of woman is 13.9%, she sees this as an issue that should not occur in today’s society. The solution to this phenomenon as she claimed is to increase the level of literacy like in the case of Malala who fought the lack of education in her society. Another way was to remove the societal labels to make all members of society equal before governmental standards. Finally, the modem to establish a neutral society was to promote equal pay in the workplace so as to ensure equality in society. But we must not forget other forms of social inequalities.

Racism, a presiding form of inequality in societies has been a factor of inequality in all societies, ethnic inequality is a result of hierarchical socio-cultural distinctions due to skin color, physical characteristics, and cultural origins. Many believe that racism is, but a social construct created by the society we live in in a pluralistic world, Nowadays racism takes a much more subtle tone. In an article by (pager 2008), she stated how discrimination of individuals based on the color of their skin is not gone but instead has taken a more subtle turn, in minor things like voice patterns. (Kirschenman & Neckerman 1991), describe’s employers’ blatant admission of their avoidance of young, inner-city black men in their search for workers. Attributing characteristics such as “lazy” and “unreliable”, during an in-person interview, which can be effective in eliciting candid discussions about sensitive hiring issues.

A 2001 survey, for example, found that more than one-third of blacks and nearly 20% of Hispanics and Asians reported that they had personally been passed over for a job or promotion because of their race or ethnicity,
