Why do people have plastic surgery?

Review of Literature:

These days, plastic surgery is becoming more popular and common because many people are becoming more and more concerned about their appearance. It is not clear whether they need plastic surgery or not. Some people think that plastic surgery has some bad effects, but many people are interested in plastic surgery and may wonder why many people have plastic surgery and what effect it has on them.

According to Nordqvist (2017), who is a writer, Plastic surgery can improve people’s external appearance, but they should be careful. The number of people undergoing plastic surgery is increasing, but it may be hard to get back to their original shape, so before plastic surgery, they need a motive for why they really want to have plastic surgery and a sufficient consultation with a doctor.

Another idea, by Rappaport (2015), who is a doctor, states that there are many good things about having plastic surgery. For example, because people like their appearance through plastic surgery so that they can become more confident and can wear whatever they want to wear by making their bodies pretty and they can take on new challenges with increased self-esteem and get more opportunities through the challenge. Also, they do not want to lose their pretty appearance, so they get to work hard at weight control.

A third writer, Kita (2018), who has worked both in a spa and surgical settings, wrote that people who want to have plastic surgery should know about the risks of plastic surgery. They should not think too much about their post-operative appearance before plastic surgery and should not think that their lives and relationships will change completely. Plastic surgery can pose a health risk. For instance, there is a risk of infection, aneasthesia, loss of sensation or secondary surgery.

Kremer’s (2015) main point that nowadays it is common to have plastic surgery to change one’s shortcoming. Plastic surgery continues to make plastic surgery on people’s psychological problems and the compulsion that they must look beautiful to others. People can often see extremely beautiful people through TV or blog or movies and continue to think that they want to be as pretty as celebrities. These social factors can lead to plastic surgery addiction.

Yet another idea, by Ford (2013), who is a writer and went to her friend’s house to see her friend but the writer could not recognize her friend who had had plastic surgery, wrote that “stalled on her doorstep, my mind worked like stink. You, of all people! Bright, accomplished, witty, and you’ve gone the whole hog? But you’ve compromised your beauty! Not to mention your feminist credentials.”

Conclusion:

Plastic surgery can have positive effects on people and can have negative effects. People think differently about plastic surgery. Plastic surgery affects people a lot, even it affects people’s lives and can destroy people’s lives. For instance, people who are addicted to plastic surgery will continue to break themselves with plastic surgery, but it also has a good effect on people. For example, it allows people to love themselves more and be more satisfied with themselves. In particular, a person with an accident can live with a new face through plastic surgery. According to the results of the survey, many people agree with plastic surgery, but they do not want to recommend it to people around them. It means frankly that people do not agree with plastic surgery. Before people do plastic surgery, they need to know why they want to do plastic surgery and the risks of plastic surgery because it can save people’s lives, but it can ruin people’s lives.
