The Relevance Of William Shakespeare's Writes
William Shakespeare was considered the greatest playwright during his time. In his plays, he combined the elements people of his time loved and that they love today. So many factors influenced Shakespeare’s playwriting.
William Shakespeare’s interesting life greatly affected his writing skills and made his plays so great. He was born on April 23, 1564, in Stratford-upon-Avon Warwickshire. Shakespeare married Annie Hathaway at the age of 18 and the two went on to have three children. The three children consisted of three daughters, Susanna born May 26, 1583, and a set of twin daughters Hamnet and Judith. Shakespeare became well known by the year 1952 when he became a play writer. He produced many successful plays and movies during his time that continue to be a part of our modern-day lives. Shakespeare passed away on April 23, 1616, exactly three years after his retirement. He died on his fifty-second birthday.
To me along with many others, Shakespeare is just another individual that became famous for writing plays. Unfortunately, many years later he and his plays are still relevant to the world and are a major factor in today’s society. Shakespeare’s work is still vigilant in today’s society due to his themes being written about love, friendship, and vengeance.
In the famous play “Romeo and Juliet”, the theme was a huge love story yet tragically played out. Even though the poem was written over 400 years ago, it is still one of the most famous poems written. Romeo and Juliet were one of Shakespeare’s famous plays written, the play involved two young star crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. The movie inspired producers all over the world and they have created other movies with the same type of genre in modern time as Romeo and Juliet. Some examples are movies such as West-side story, Gnomeo & Juliet and Dirty Dancing.
Another one of William Shakespeare’s famous plays is “Hamlet”. Hamlet was written with many twists and turns. The movie was known to have the best plot of all times based on Shakespeare’s creativity. Hamlet was a normal character in the beginning, but as the play went on Hamlet became more aggressive and power-hungry. Over 350 years after the play was written, producers created the movie the Lion King, which fell within the same storyline as Hamlet. The updated movie created a different experience by creating different ways of entertainment though themes and language. Insanity, humanity, women and political lively-hood are themes that made ‘Hamlet’ one of William Shakespeare’s most famous movies. Even though it was written 400 years ago, it is still famous due to the way it relates to modern-day society.
Another factor that makes Shakespeare’s pertinent to today’s modern time is the language he used in his work. Shakespeare created about 300 words which were later added to the English language. The creation of many different new words added to the dictionary allowed the English language to be as it is today. There is a strong possibility we would be using different words today if not for Shakespeare. In modern times society uses a lot of Shakespeare’s quotes. Shakespeare is known to be the most quoted person in English literature. Many people use quotes and have no idea who created them. Among the most common quotes are: “To be, or not to be: that is the question’ (Hamlet, act 3), “Nothing will come of nothing” (King Lear Act 1), and of course the famous, “Off with his head” (Richard II, Act 3). All of the listed quotes were written in throughout the famous poems created by Shakespeare.
Shakespeare will always be a big part of our history. The work of Shakespeare are required reading for many high schools and colleges who study writing and literature. (http://www.utsa.edu/ovations/vol8/story/shakespeare.html)

His career spanned over 28 years and during that time he wrote 37 plays, 154 sonnets and several movies. Shakespeare helped create the literature we know today by combining classical and medieval literature.
In conclusion, Shakespeare provided many plays and movies in the world. He is known to have been one of the greatest English literature play writer. His life history and iconic vision have an impressive aspect on the world. The themes, languages and many other aspects will continue to keep Shakespeare work important. This is because they are related to basic human nature, which remains constant regardless of evolutionary, industrial or scientific developments.
